Sessions are purchased by the hour. The time you purchase is yours to allow me to capture your
personality. You are not limited by outfit changes or number of poses. As a custom photographer I
location of your choose or both. I will travel up to 20 miles free of charge. I will travel anywhere for a
small fee to cover my cost and time. My goal is to freeze a moment in time that captures your natural
personality. My mission is to create a relaxed, non pressured experience for your style to shine. My
equipment is state-of the art digital to make portraits that will last a life time and beyond.
Preparing for your session...
Session fees are due before the session to secure your time. Clothing is a big part of making
wonderful photographs. I will give some suggestions but the ultimate decision is yours. For babies
(who can not sit on their own) I recommend their birthday suits or a simple diaper cover (which I
provide). For clothing, simple solid colors always draw the attention to the subjects. Try to avoid
printed t-shirts or cartoon characters as they tend to draw the attention away from the subject. I
encourage hats, scarfs, favorite toys, collections or any other personal items that show your style.
Teens and seniors don't worry too much about any blemishes you might have, I offer corrections if
desired. If being photographed in a big group, try to have a similar theme such as color or style of
clothing. Save your solid whites and dressier outfits for the studio.
Sessions with small children... do tend to work out better if only the people being
photographed attend. The less distracted the child is - the better! Sometimes I will send parents to
another area to hang out during part of the session, don't be offended if I do! Some children do
better when Mom & Dad aren't right there. Lots of parents tell me that portrait day is stressful and
that they always feel their child is "acting up" - I promise that if I need your help with them I will let you
know, otherwise just relax, have fun and let me take control. Please don't try to get your child to smile
or get their attention unless I ask you to. The best photographs of children usually come when they
are being themselves. If you have time prior to your session please send me an email and tell me
about your child. I'd love to know what they're "in to", what shows they watch, what their favorite toys
are, pets names, anything that will allow me to get to know your child better. If they have any fears
that I should know about please include that as well."
After your session...
I spend a great deal of time proofing the images I capture. I use the latest photo editing software to
make treasured keepsakes for you. The proofs are displayed on my web site 10-14 days after your
session. You will be given a link to your proofs so that you and your friends and family can view them
at your convenience. Once you have made your selections we will meet to go over your order.
Please have your order form complete and a list of questions you have before scheduling an
appointment. Half of the print total is due at this time. Orders can take up to 2 weeks to arrive.
